Products

Made here, tested on a real face.

alema.io products start from a real problem of the founder and are tested on real hardware before any promise is made.

Smart glasses

Every app shares one language: green on black only, nothing that blocks your view.

Tag Porto: the real design is in the alternative flows

Porto's toll and parking tag, built with ConectCar, had become a funnel for the credit card. Designing the main flow was easy. The work was giving every exit from it a decent path.

Method

One designer. An AI team.

01

A human makes the calls

Marcus defines the problem, designs and validates. AI agents research, prototype and build in parallel, which shortens each cycle.

02

Accessible from the first draft

Accessibility (WCAG) comes in at the start, not the end. VisualContext is being built with an audio-only mode from the start.

03

Responsible AI

Certified in Human-AI Experience (HAX), with privacy on by default: sensitive data stays with the user.

Founder

Marcus de Magalhães

Human Interface Engineer · founder of alema.io

Today I design for AI and smart glasses, with my own products tested on real hardware. Before that, more than 9 years in digital product, in health, insurance, telecom and e-commerce.

The foundation goes back a long way: I've been designing since 2003, across editorial, packaging and web, for brands such as L'Oréal, La Roche-Posay, Atari, Abril and Editora Globo, and I was an agency partner before founding alema.io. Back in the early days of apps, I designed the delivery app for the restaurant Spot, my first mobile product. I speak Portuguese, German and English.
